What does a wedding ceremony include?
We videotape the entire service using two cameras at different angles to capture all the important moments of your commitment to each other. Either the groom or the officiant wears a small clip-on microphone to clearly record your wedding vows.
What does the reception include?
We videotape all important traditional reception events including introductions/entrances, first dance, dances with parents, speeches, toasts, prayers, cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss, etc. Final videos typically include at least one additional fast song and one additional slow song with artistically edited dancing, dinner, and any additional footage.
How do I reserve my wedding date?
A signed contract and 50% down payment are needed to reserve your wedding date. Payment in full is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding. (See our Availability Calendar)
Are there any hidden costs?
No. We are a budget conscious company and know that you want your wedding day and your video to be specific to your needs. We let you create your custom package so that the final video meets your needs and your budget.
What if we want another copy of our video later or if our copy gets damaged?
We keep a master copy of your wedding video in the event that you request additional and/or replacement copies.
Do you contract out your work?
No. We are a husband and wife team who have been creating beautiful wedding videos together for years. We do all the work - from taping to editing, from consultations to packaging - together. When you hire LifeScapes Video, you know you are getting the award-winning video production team that you expect.
What equipment do you use?
• Pro 3CCD Digital Sony and/or Canon camcorders
• Pro wireless clip-on microphone
What is an engagement video?
An engagement video is an artistic, edited compilation of photos and videos clips that couples have collected over the years with an optional engagement video shoot at a nearby location by award-winning videographer, Brian Palmer. Engagement videos are set to the music of your choice and are a perfect complement to your engagement party or rehearsal dinner. (See our Customization Options)
Do you do interviews?
At your request, we interview guests, focusing on your parents, the wedding party, and interested friends and family. You may even say a small message to your new husband or wife. Guests are never pressured to speak on camera, but are invited to say a few words to express emotions or offer advice.
Can we get raw footage DVD’s?
Yes! Some couples request a copy of the raw footage from their wedding, and we offer this in our customization packages. Raw footage is not intended to be viewed as a final product, but is a nice way for couples to see much of the day that did not make it into their artistically, edited wedding video. (See our Customization Options)
What type of DVD's do you use?
We use high quality white DVD-R media because they are the most compatible. We create our DVD’s using a professional DVD-R duplicator. This process assures a high quality error-free DVD and beautiful, professionally applied smudge/water resistant DVD artwork and titles. We do not use stick-on labels which can jam or damage some DVD players. Our process prints directly onto the DVD for lasting quality!
Do you offer discounts for combining photography and videography services?
Yes, we offer discounts on Silver, Gold and Platinum packages when you combine LifeScapes Photo and Video services. Contact us for more information.
